FISH CURRY

Fish Fillets (any fish) 5 pieces  
Tamarind small lime size  
Small onion 10  
Tomato -(chopped) 1  
Green chilies 2  
Garlic 2 flakes  
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp  
Fenugreek - 1/8tsp 1/8 tsp  
Curry leaves as reqd.  
Salt as reqd.  
Oil 1 tsp  
Fish curry masala 2 1/2 tsp  
For Grind
Grated Coconut 1/4 cup
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp.
Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp.
METHOD
1.Take tamarind extract with 2cup of water.
2.Add all powders,salt &ground paste into tamarind juice.
3.Heat oil, season with mustard seeds,fenugreek&curry leaves.
4.Add onion,tomato,carlic&green chillies fry for 2minutes.
5.Pour tamarind mixture.
6.Close the lid & cook.

FISH PEPPER CURRY

Fish fillets 5 pieces
Pepper powder 2 tsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Aniseed  1/8 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Ginger&Carlic paste 1/2 tsp
Onion(big) 1/4
Tomato(small) 2(chopped)
Green chillies 5
Coconut milk 2 cup
Vinegar  1 1/2tsp
Salt  as reqd.
Oil 3 tsp
METHOD
1.Mix Ginger&Carlic paste,1/4tsp Salt,1/4tsp pepper&1/8tsp turmeric powder
2.Rub it well in the fish pieces, marinate for 5 minutes.
3.Heat 2tsp oil &fry the fish slightly.
4.Take another pan, heat oil add onion,tomato&greenchillies fry for 5minutes.
5.Add coconut milk then all powders&vinegar.
6.Add slightly fried fish.
7.Close the lid&cook
8 Serve with idyappam, bread or rice.

SOTHI

Fish Fillets 5piece(with bones)

Green chillies 3(chopped)

Mustard seeds 1/8tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
Whole pepper 10
Lime 1
Coconut milk 2 cups
Curry leaves as reqd.
Salt as reqd.
Oil
METHOD
1.Heat oil ,season with mustard seeds,cumin seeds&curry leaves.
2.Add onion,tomato & green chillies, fry for 2minutes.
3.Add coconut milk & turmeric powder.
4.Add fish &salt.
5.Close the lid&cook 
6.After its cooked, switch off the burner .open the lid,after 5minutes
squash the lime.
NOTE
Always add lime juice in the End.

DRYFISH CURRY

Dryfish fillets 5 piece
Tamarind liquid 2 cups
Tomato 1
Onion 1/2(big)
Green chillies 2
Egg plant 2(small)
Drumstick  1
Red chilli powder 1 1/2tsp
Coriander powder 2 1/2tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
Mustard seeds 1/8tsp
Fenu greek 1/8tsp
Curry leaves as reqd.
Salt as reqd.
Oil  1 1/2tsp
Grated coconut 1/4cup
Cumin seeds 1/8tsp
METHOD
1.Mix all powders&ground coconut with tamarind liquid.
2.Heat oil, Season with mustard ,fenugreek&curry leaves
3.Add onion,tomato &green chilli. fry for 3min.
4.Add tamarind mixture.
5.Add egg plant &drumstick.
6.Close the lid &cook.
7.When its boiling add dryfish fillets.
8.Cook till dryfish is boil.
NOTE
Allways add dryfish at the end.otherwise its becom powder.
